The clean multi-touch surface of the Apple Magic Mouse makes scrolling in any direction like butter.Yes, there are multi-touch touch pads for Windows, and they are fine for every day navigation, but if you are drawing diagrams or working on other things that require some extra precision, a mouse beets a touch pad every time.The Apple Magic Mouse is also bluetooth so no need to occupy a USB socket on most notebooks, and has power saving features that put the mouse to sleep when not used. Not sure if Apple have a patent on the Magic Mouse because that would be the only reason why others have not copied the concept.Not only is it good for Mac OS X users, but it is by far the best mouse to use with Windows 8.I've tried a few of the Microsoft Touch mouses which for some reason still favour vertical scrolling vs.
